Kindly follow the next steps:
- Have you submitted the Membership Form after 01/06/2017...? If not, do so by clicking here.
- Is your info outdated...? If so, submit the Update Form by clicking here.
- Fill in the participation form for this event by clicking here.
- After submitting the participation form you will receive an e-mail from the autoresponder with the financial details.
- The participation fee per person is RM70.00
- Due to the 1:7 compulsory MGP guide ratio, your participation will only be confirmed once we have either 7, 14 or 21 participants. Example: if you sign up as participant #9, your participation can only be confirmed once we have 14 participants. In case we don't have a full block of 7 participants after reaching 7 or 14 participants, the paid sums will be refunded.
- Click on the Attend button on the event page to place yourself on the Attendees list. Do not do so if you have not paid the participation fee. If you do, we will revert your status to Not Attending in case we don't receive payment within 24 hours.
- Clicking the Attend button on the Meetup page will not guarantee a spot; only payment does. Deadline for payments: Saturday 07/03/2026 - 11:59 pm.
- We send out an acknowledgement of receipt upon receiving your payment. We will do this manually, so be patient.
- Cancellation policy: non-refundable but transferable until 07/03/2026 (no exceptions...!). Due to the limited number of permits issued by the Forestry Department, permit applications might have been submitted before 07/03/2026 and then the paid fee is no longer refundable or transferable.
- Do you want to join the carpooling as a driver or a passenger...? If so, click here.
- Save the mobile number of the event host in your phone. The number can be found in the carpooling e-mail.
- The coordinates of the meet-up place are 3.217023, 101.883299. You can also use Gunung Nuang Recreational Forest, Kampung Pungsun in Google Maps.
- The meet-up time listed on the event page is the time that the hike starts. Be sure to reach the meet-up place at least 15 minutes prior to the meet-up time. The hike starts at 06:30am.
- Make sure you have a gps navigation app (like ~in alphabetical order~ AllTrails (paid version), Gaia, Hiiker, Komoot, Maps.me, OSMAnd, Wikiloc,...) installed on your phone and make sure that it is working properly.
If you don't have an app installed yet, we suggest to use Hiiker to start with. Once you have downloaded the offline map of Malaysia, you can easily import and navigate any gpx file.
See further instructions sub 'How to prepare myself for navigation...?' - Do not come to the venue:
- if you do not have MySejahtera installed on your mobile phone
- if your MySejahtera status is any other than "Low Risk" or "Casual Contact Low Risk"
- if your body temperature is above 37 degrees Celsius
- if you have flu like symptoms
- if you are awaiting the results of a recently performed Covid-19 test
- if you are a close contact of a person who tested positive for Covid-19 within the last 14 days
- if you are a Person Under Surveillance or a Person Under Investigation concerning Covid-19
- Scan the registration QR code at the venue and check-in online once you arrive. Change to your hiking clothes afterwards.
- Scan the QR code to obtain the gpx file.
- Attend the briefing and follow the given instructions and advice.
- Respect federal and local SOPs at all time.
- Ensure personal hygiene measures before, during and after the hike. Certainly do not spit.
- Respect the mandatory cut-off times as indicated in the likely schedule. Otherwise a RM20.00 penalty will be imposed.
- If you can't make it for the event, you need to remove yourself from the Attendees list by clicking the X on the event page before the event starts.
- Upon finishing the hike, scan the registration QR code at the venue and check-out online. If you're offline, do so once you're getting online again, otherwise a RM20.00 penalty will be imposed.
