It is important to know that:

  2. Once we have the required number of participants, the event will be confirmed.
  3. Make sure to arrive in Srinagar airport on Day 1. The exact meet-up place and time will be provided in due time.
  4. On Day 1 we will spend the night in a hotel.
  5. On Day 2 we will be transferred with a van to Sumbal, which will take about two hours. From there we start the trek which will last five days.
  6. On Day 6, after finishing the hike, we will have a transfer back to Srinagar. We spend the night in a hotel.
  7. On Day 7, depending on the flight schedule, we might organise transport to the airport.
  8. The Marsar trek is an easier alternative for the Great Kashmir Lake trek. It is shorter and has better trail conditions. Anyone with a moderate fitness level should be able to undertake this venture.
  9. The total distance of the trek is 48 kilometres. The maximum altitude is just above 4,000m asl.
  10. During the hikes and at the campsites you will enjoy spectacular views of the lakes and mountains.
  11. Horses will help us to offload your luggage: in a bag or backpack and maximum 10 kg. No suitcases or trolley bags...!
  12. Purchasing a travel insurance is compulsory.
  13. The mobile number of the event host can be found in the e-mail which you will receive after submitting the Participation Form.
  14. Keep in mind that there is always a chance that we are not allowed to climb certain areas due to dangerous conditions (eg landslide, earthquake, floods,...) or flight delay/cancellation - we cannot be held responsible for such cancellation.
