It is important to know that:
- We need 10 participants for this event, otherwise the event will not take place. In case we don't have 10 participants all paid sums will be refunded.
- Once we have the required number of participants, the event will be confirmed.
- Make sure to arrive in Osh on Day 1. The exact meet-up place and time will be provided in due time.
- On Day 1 we will spend the night in a hostel or dorm, based on the choice you made during the booking.
- On Day 2 we will be transferred to Kozo-Kelen, about 100 kilometres from Osh. From there we start the next day for a trek which will last six days.
- On Day 9, after finishing the hike, we will have a transfer back to Osh, which will take five to six hours. We spend the night in a hostel.
- During the trek we will reach Achik-Tash Base Camp, which is the base camp for expeditions to Ibn Sina Peak, also known as the Lenin Peak, which rises to 7134m asl and is the highest mountain in the Trans-Alay Range of Central Asia.
- We will leave our belongings in Base Camp and take only with us what we need for the next two days. Optional: Porter services might be available - See What is Included in the package...?
- Base Camp and Camp 1 have toilet and shower facilities.
- From Base Camp we will climb to Camp 1 and spent the night there.
- The next day, those who want to relax can do so. Others can climb to the Yuhina Peak (5130m asl) and return back to Camp 1.
- The day after the Yuhina Peak ascent, we descend back to Base Camp.
- The total distance of the trek is around xx kilometres (to be updated). The maximum altitude is just around 4,200m asl if you don't hike the Yuhina Peak.
- During the hikes and at the campsites you will enjoy spectacular views of the glaciers and mountains.
- Do note that tents are provided, but not sleeping gear like sleeping mats and sleeping bags. They can be rented if you inform us in advance - See What is Included in the package...?
- Horses will help us to offload your luggage: in a bag or backpack and maximum 10 kg. No suitcases or trolley bags...!
- Purchasing a travel insurance is compulsory.
- The mobile number of the event host can be found in the e-mail which you will receive after submitting the Participation Form.
- Keep in mind that there is always a chance that we are not allowed to climb certain areas due to dangerous conditions (eg landslide, earthquake, floods,...) or flight delay/cancellation - we cannot be held responsible for such cancellation.
