It is important to know that:
- We need 10 participants for this event, otherwise the event will not take place. In case we don't have 10 participants all paid sums will be refunded.
- Once we have the required number of participants, the event will be confirmed.
- Make sure to arrive in Tbilisi on Day 1. The exact meet-up place and time will be provided in due time.
- On Day 1 we will spend the night in a hostel/guesthouse.
- On Day 2 we will be transferred to Mukhuri via Kutaisi. A truck will then bring us to the trailhead. From there we start the next day for a trek which will last five days.
- On Day 8, after finishing the hike, we will have a transfer back to Tbilisi via Chiatura. We spend the night in a hostel/guesthouse.
- During the trek we will climb several passes and visit several lakes.
- We will leave our belongings at the campsite on Day 5 and head towards the northern Toba pass and some small alpine lakes.
- Civilisation will be reached again on Day 7 and we will spend the night in Kutaisi.
- Before heading for Tbilisi on Day 8, we visit the mining town Chiatura. We spend the night in Tbilisi.
- The total distance of the trek is around 60 kilometres. The maximum altitude is below 3,000m asl.
- There are ample water sources along the way. Bring a bottle and your water filter...!
- During the hikes and at the campsites you will enjoy spectacular views of four alpine lakes, the Egrisi Mountains, the Greater Caucasus and if we're lucky, even Mount Elbrus.
- Do note that tents are provided, but not sleeping bags. Most likely they can be rented if you inform us in advance - See What is Included in the package...?
- Horses will help us to offload your luggage: in a bag or backpack and maximum 10 kg. No suitcases or trolley bags...!
- Purchasing a travel insurance is compulsory.
- The mobile number of the event host can be found in the e-mail which you will receive after submitting the Participation Form.
- Keep in mind that there is always a chance that we are not allowed to climb certain areas due to dangerous conditions (eg landslide, earthquake, floods,...) or flight delay/cancellation - we cannot be held responsible for such cancellation.
