  3. Make sure to arrive in Marrakech on Day 1. The exact meet-up place and time will be provided in due time.
  4. On Day 1 we will spend the night in a riad.
  5. On Day 2 we will be transferred to Imlil, about 70 kilometres from Marrakech. From there we immediately start with the trek which will last six days. Accommodation will be in Berber houses and two nights we will spend in a tent.
  6. On Day 8, after finishing the trek, we will have a transfer back to Marrakech, which will take two hours. We spend the night in a riad.
  7. During the trek we will experience the authentic Berber culture. The Berber people, indigenous to North Africa, have lived in the Atlas Mountains for centuries.
  8. On Day 6 we trek to the famous Lake D'Ifni (2,312m asl) which is surrounded by the Atlas Mountains, including Mount Toubkal.
  9. On Day 8 we climb Mount Toubkal itself, the highest peak in North Africa, standing at 4,167m asl. On a clear day, the far-reaching views from the summit stretch all the way to the Sahara Desert in the distance.
  10. The total distance of the trek is to be updated, but we will hike around 6 hours a day. The last day of the trek will be longer. The maximum altitude is just below 3,700m asl if you don't hike Mount Toubkal.
  11. During the hikes and at the accommodation places you will enjoy spectacular views of the mountains, terraced villages, vast valleys and alpine lakes.
  12. Do note that tents and some sleeping gear like mattresses are provided, but not sleeping bags. You have to bring your own.
