- This section will be updated at a later date -
It is important to know that:
- We need 30 participants for this event, otherwise the event will not take place. In case we don't have 30 participants all paid sums will be refunded.
- Once we have the required number of participants, the event will be confirmed.
- Make sure to arrive in Lijiang on Day 1. The exact meet-up place and time will be provided in due time.
- We will not organise this for the group, but if you manage to arrive on Day 0, consider visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang on Day 1 on your own. Tickets have to be purchased in advance.
- On Day 1 we will spend the night in a ho(s)tel.
- On Day 2 we will be transferred to Shangri-la. The bus ride itself will take about six hours but we will stop along the way to visit the Tiger Leaping Gorge and the White Water Terraces.
- On Day 3 we will have a half day bus ride to the Meili Snow Mountain lookout area.
- The next day we will have a transfer to the trailhead and we will hike to Yubeng Village. There might be a chance that those who are not up to this hike, can jump into a 4WD at an extra cost.
- To be updated: we are still looking into a solution for the luggage storage issue before we head to Yubeng.
- In Yubeng we have planned two dayhikes. One will bring us to the sacred waterfall , the other one to the glacial lake .
- When we leave Yubeng we hike towards the trailhead following the stream.
- The next two days will be reserved for transfers and the optional exploration of Shangri-la.
- This is not a multiple days trek but a collection of day hikes with an easy to moderate difficulty level.
- During the hikes and at the accommodation places you will enjoy spectacular views of the holy mountains.
- There are no meals and no drinks included in the package price.
- Purchasing a travel insurance is compulsory.
- The mobile number of the event hosts can be found in the e-mail which you will receive after submitting the Participation Form.
- Keep in mind that there is always a chance that we are not allowed to climb or hike certain areas due to dangerous conditions (eg landslide, earthquake, floods, health measures...) or flight delay/cancellation - we cannot be held responsible for such cancellation.
