It is important to know that:
- We need 10 participants for this event, otherwise the event will not take place. In case we don't have 10 participants all paid sums will be refunded.
- Once we have the required number of participants, the event will be confirmed.
- Make sure to arrive in Kota Kinabalu airport before 06:00 am on Day 1. The exact meet-up place and time will be provided in due time via the Recommendations File.
- For those who also join the Gunung Sinsing event: On Day 1 we will have a van transfer from Tambunan Base Camp 1 to the Trusmadi gate.
- For those who only join the Gunung Trusmadi event: On Day 1 we will have a van transfer from Kota Kinabalu airport to the Trusmadi gate provided you will be in the airport latest by 06:00 am.
- Once at the Trusmadi gate we will be transferred with a 4WD to the trailhead where we will start our hike of the Kaingaran Trail. We will hike around 2 km to the dormitory where we will have lunch, dinner and spend the night. Bunk beds with sleeping bags and toilet facilities are provided. IBP 56 - elevation gain around 400 metres.

- On Day 2 we start our summit attack of Gunung Trusmadi (G2) very early in the morning and we should reach the summit before sunrise. We then return to the rest house, so for this hike, a day pack will do. After lunch at the rest house we will descend further to the trailhead, followed by a 4WD ride to the Trusmadi gate. IBP 118 - distance 8 km - elevation gain around 700 metres, elevation loss around 1,100 metres.

- If all goes according to plan, on Day 2 we should reach the trailhead once again by 02:00 pm, followed by 4WD transfer, freshen up and transfer to Kota Kinabalu airport. In order to play it safe, do not book any return flights before 08:00 pm.
- Purchasing a travel insurance is advised.
- Do note that we will perform a check of the mandatory items right before the start of the trek. Those who are not in the possession of all mandatory items will not be allowed to start the hike.

- Keep in mind that there is always a chance that we are not allowed to climb certain areas due to dangerous conditions (eg landslide, earthquake, floods,...) or flight delay/cancellation - we cannot be held responsible for such cancellation.
