It is important to know that:

  1. We need 10 participants for this event, otherwise the event will not take place. In case we don't have 10 participants all paid sums will be refunded. 
  2. Once we have the required number of participants, the event will be confirmed.
  3. Make sure to arrive in Chengdu on Day 1. The exact meet-up place and time will be provided in due time via the Recommendations File. 
  4. On Day 1 we will spend the night in a hotel in Chengdu. Accommodation is part of the package.
  5. On Day 2 we will be transferred to Siguniangshan (3,000m asl) via Maobiliang with a bus. This is a very scenic ride - weather permitting.
  6. On Day 3 a bus transfer will bring us to the trailhead. We will have an easy to moderate hike for about 20 kilometres. Maximum altitude will be 3,600m asl.
  7. On Day 4 we will have a scenic transfer to Dangling (3,400 m asl).
  8. Days 5, 6 and 7 are reserved for hikes to the mountain lakes. They are of a moderate difficulty level and between 6 and 8 kilometres in total. Maximum altitude will be 4,000m asl. 
  9. We will spend two nights in the same ho(s)tel and two nights in the same homestay. 
  10. On Day 7 we will spend the night in a hotel with a hot spring.
  11. We try to cater for twin rooms in the ho(s)tels, but the homestay will only have mixed gender dormitories.
  12. On Day 8 we will arrive in the evening in Chengdu. Ho)s)tel accommodation is part of the package. 
  13. Day 9 is reserved for your onward travel or your return flight.
  14. Meals and drinks are not included in the package. This will give participants the chance to freely discover the local cuisine according to their budget and appetite.
  15. Participants who prefer to skip a hike can do so as long as we spend two nights in the same accommodation place. 
  16. There might be options to take a motorcycle ride at your own expense if you are not up to the entire hiking distance. 
  17. Proper hiking gear, layers and rain protection will be essential.
  18. We will try to provide GPX files for all hikes.
  19. The guide will always be with the group as we will hike together at all times for safety reasons.
  20. We will perform a physical check of your mandatory items before the start of the first hike. Those who are not in the possession of ALL mandatory items will NOT be allowed to hike.
  21. IMPORTANT: Luggage should be optimised as the space in the bus is limited. If you need to leave luggage in Chengdu you have to make your own arrangements, be it that we will look into a collective solution - but no promise...!
  22. Insurance is included in the package which covers issues during the transfers and the group activities only.
  23. Purchasing a travel insurance is compulsory. 
  24. The mobile number of the event host can be found in the e-mail which you will receive after submitting the Participation Form.
  25. Keep in mind that there is always a chance that we are not allowed to hike certain areas due to dangerous conditions (eg landslide, earthquake, floods,...) or flight delay/cancellation - we cannot be held responsible for such cancellation.
