It is important to know that:

  1. We need 10 participants for this event, otherwise the event will not take place. In case we don't have 10 participants all paid sums will be refunded.
  2. Once we have the required number of participants, the event will be confirmed.
  3. Make sure to arrive in Val Gardena on Day 1. The exact meet-up place and time will be provided in due time via the Recommendations File. 
  4. Depending on how many participants arrive in the respective airports we might be able to assist you in order to get to Val Gardena. We will update this paragraph once the event is confirmed.
  5. Time permitting we will have an afternoon hike on Day 1.
  6. We will spend all five nights in the same ho(s)tel.
  7. Do note that accommodation in twin beds is extremely rare to find in Val Gardena. So there is a serious chance that participants will have to share a double bed, be it that each will have their own duvet. If you are not comfortable with this accommodation setting, kindly refrain from participating. Upgrade to having a room to yourself will be possible, but extremely expensive.
  8. Most accommodation places are rather small family-run bed and breakfasts, up to four or five rooms. Depending on the group size we might need to split the group for the night. If you want to share a room/bed with a particular participant, do let us know in advance.
  9. Every day we will organise a day hikes into the Dolomites. They all will be easy to moderate, a perfect introduction to get acquainted with the Dolomites. We will hike as a group.
  10. All hikes will take place at a moderate altitude. The maximum altitude we will reach will be between 2,300m and 2,500m asl.
  11. Participants who prefer to skip a hike, can do so by prior arrangement.
  12. Weather in the Dolomites can change quickly. Proper hiking gear, layers and rain protection will be essential.
  13. We will perform a physical check of your mandatory items before the start of the first hike. Those who are not in the possession of ALL mandatory items will NOT be allowed to hike.
  14. Depending on the group size, transfers within Val Gardena will be with public transport.
  15. Purchasing a travel insurance is compulsory. 
  16. The mobile number of the event host can be found in the e-mail which you will receive after submitting the Participation Form.
  17. Keep in mind that there is always a chance that we are not allowed to climb certain areas due to dangerous conditions (eg landslide, earthquake, floods,...) or flight delay/cancellation - we cannot be held responsible for such cancellation.
