Observe the following throughout the event:

  1. Follow the SOPs in place.
  2. Be polite and provide assistance were needed.
  3. If you want to listen to music, use earphones. Most of us appreciate nature sounds.
  4. If there are markers, follow the KL Hiking paper markers along the left side of the trail. If we follow the same way up as down, the paper markers will not be removed during the way up and will be on the right for the return hike. 
  5. Follow the KL Hiking markers, no other markers.
  6. Follow the markers, not necessarily the hiker in front of you.
  7. If you don’t spot markers at a junction, trek back immediately; don’t continue…!
  8. Respect the markers because there are hikers behind you. Don’t step on them and don’t take them away (with hand or hiking stick). The sweeper will always remove our markers in accordance with our leave ‘no trace’ policy.
  9. Respect the mandatory cut-off times mentioned in the likely schedule and during the event briefing.
  10. Upon finishing the hike, immediately return your yellow card to the event host.
  11. Remind your hiking peers in the car to return their yellow card.
  12. If you lost your card or forgot to return it, inform the event host once you notice it.
